(New) Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision for Retail

 

For those working in all food businesses at a supervisory level

These qualifications replace the CIEH Intermediate food hygiene certificate.

 

Supervisors and Managers who gain the level 3 award will be able to demonstrate that they understand the importance of implementing a documented food safety system. The level 3 award is nationally recognised.

 

 The course covers the following:

Legislation

Supervisory management

Temperature control (chilling, cooking)

Cleaning

Contamination control

Applying and monitoring good hygiene practices

Implementing good food safety procedures

Contributing to the safety training of others

  

Assessment is by multi-choice exam.

 

The level 3 courses are run over three days to suit and have limited numbers therefore please contact us to arrange dates.

 

On successful completion of the course the candidate should have a firm understanding of:

Terminology with respect to supervising food safety

The techniques involved in controlling and monitoring food safety

Effectively supervise and instruct food handlers in food hygiene

Contribute to a HACCP based management system
